BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Christmastime is coming and the city of Beaver Dam wants to help you kick off the Christmas season the right way with its annual Downtown Christmas Festival this weekend. Mother Nature, however, wants to dampen your Christmas spirit with rain and possibly severe weather this weekend. Because of this, the city of Beaver Dam has made some changes to the schedule for this year’s Christmas Festival.

First, all of Friday night’s activities and events are cancelled. According to the National Weather Service, rain is supposed to move into the area Friday night.

Most of Saturday’s events have been moved to Sunday, however, the pageant will still be held Saturday at 11 a.m. and Santa Claus will be at J.R. Williams for free pictures Saturday from 12 p.m .-3 p.m. Most of Saturday’s events have been rescheduled for Sunday.

According to the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, this is the schedule for Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018:

  • 1 p.m. Cookie Walk
  • 1:45 p.m. OZ Productions
  • 2 p.m. Gift Giveaways for Kids 0-12
  • 1-2:30 p.m. Free Pictures with Santa at J.R. Williams
  • 3 p.m. Parade
  • 4 p.m. Gift Giveaways for Kids 0-12

In addition to the above scheduled events, there will be horse and carriage rides, vendors, music and more Sunday afternoon.

Make sure to clear your calendar for a weekend of Christmas fun and activities at the Downtown Beaver Dam Christmas Festival.
