Becky ‘Grandmother’ Aud

UTICA, Ky. — Becky “Grandmother” Aud, 73, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Ohio County, Kentucky, Jan. 5, 1945, Becky was the daughter of the late Urey B. Arnold and Myrl Jeannette Richeson Arnold Howard.

She retired from the Diocese of Owensboro where she worked for 30 years as librarian and bookkeeper at St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church.

Becky was “Grandmother” to many and “Grandmoo” to her great-granddaughter, Layla. Becky never met a stranger and was a master of one-liners to keep everyone entertained and on their toes. She welcomed everyone as a member of her family. She was also a skilled re-arranger, always moving things in her home to create new surroundings for all to enjoy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James “Brother” Aud Jr.; her stepfather, Roscoe Howard; sisters, Barbara Arnold and Judy Arnold; a granddaughter, Lauren Girten; a nephew, Blake LaRoche; and a brother-in-law, Doug Fulcher.

Surviving are daughters, Stacy Aud and Shelly (Dale) Buskill; grandchildren, Drew (Brooklyn) Aud, Chandler (Jared) Lawless, Reed Brooks, and Ainsley Anderson, Derek (Liz) Smith, Deandra Buskill, Rachelle Buskill, Mathis Buskill, Larissa Buskill; great-grandchildren, Layla Aud, Kaine Smith, Annabelle Smith, Maya Campbell, Eastyn Campbell, and Maree Hall; a sister, Nancy Fulcher, of Utica; brothers, Terry (Linda) Arnold and Donnie Arnold, of Owensboro, Kentucky; a large extended family including, June and Keith Conder and family, Elizabeth (K.C.) Williams; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Bruce Fogle officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. prior to the service.
