HAWESVILLE, Ky. — Sandy Brown, 80, of Hawesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. Sandy was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Dalton City, Illinois, to the late Walker and Belva (Burrus) Underwood.

She was a member of Roseville Baptist Church. Her hobbies included yard saling, embroidering, collecting dolls, scrapbooking, photography and traveling. She prided herself on family, always ensuring they knew how much she loved them. Her favorite grandchild was the one she was with at the time.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Don Underwood, Charles Underwood, Doris Underwood Peters, Margie Underwood Scott and Larry Underwood.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Dale Brown; her five boys, Tony (Bambi), Monty, Chris, Randy (Leslie), and Eric (Cindy); 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers, Terry Underwood and Popeye Underwood.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Roseville Baptist Church with burial in Roseville Cemetery. Visitation is 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
