ROCKPORT, Ky. — Dawson Slaughter, 74, of Rockport, died Oct. 6, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Kentucky. Mr. Slaughter was born Aug. 6, 1944, in Todd County, Kentucky.
He was a truck driver for Marvin Thompson Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Judy Slaughters.
He is survived by his brothers, Thurman Slaughter, of Oklahoma, Thomas Dale Slaughter, of Illinois, and Shelby Wayne Slaughter, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; sister, Darlene Oakley, of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. David Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mud River Union Cemetery in Belton, Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
