HARTFORD, Ky. — Angela “Rose” Whitaker, 82, of Hartford, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Signature Heath Care in Hartford. She was born Feb. 6, 1936, to the late Charles and Ruby Payne.
Rose was of the Catholic faith. She was a homemaker and a child caregiver for several years.
Rose loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; especially her youngest great-grandchild, Brently.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Whitaker, and sister, Regina Jarboe.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Hipps (Walter), of Fordsville, Kentucky, and Diane Goetz (Randy), of Owensboro, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jenny Casteel (Rodney), of Hartford, Dana Hayse, of Hartford, David Glenn Jr., of Owensboro, and Ben Goetz, of Owensboro; her sisters, Martha Lydanne, of Nashville, Tennessee, Joan Gibson, of Henderson, Kentucky, Linda Farley, Cathy Rohrer, and Debbie Crabtree, all of Owensboro; her brothers, Charlie and David Payne, of Owensboro; and her eight great-grandchildren.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Fr. Richard Cash will officiate. The entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
