MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Nada B. Givens, 91, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Signature Healthcare in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born in Butler County, Kentucky, Oct. 9, 1926, to the late R.C. and Bertha Peay Givens.

Nada was a homemaker, a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, loved gardening and crocheting. She retired from Kellwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carlis Givens; grandparents, John W. and Meada Givens, who raised her from 9 days-old; brother, Adron Givens; and two half-brothers, Stewart and Warren Givens.

Nada is survived by her children, Elaine Grubb (Randy), of Morgantown, Renae Layne (Steve), of Provo, Kentucky, and Carlis Givens Jr. (Willow), of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kim Dunn (Troy), of Morgantown, Shannon Tichenor (J.D.), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Corey Givens (Debbie), of St. Charles, Missouri, Stephanie Keown (Terry), of Morgantown, Monte Grubb (Tawsha), of Bowling Green, Russell Givens (Wendy), of Morgantown, and Amanda Logdson (David), of Bowling Green; great grandchildren, Lance Gidcumb (Courtney), Stephen, Tyler and Katie Dunn, Erika and Jayden Grubb, Carley and Clayton Givens, Landon Henderson; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, Levi and Cooper Gidcumb; half-sister, Linda Givens Phelps; half-brother, Dodson Givens; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Murl Gray and Bro. Don Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
