OWENSBORO, Ky. — Sheila Ann Bailey, 73, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1944, to the late James and Klytia Edge.
Sheila was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed going to flea markets, rummage sales, and her extensive Betty Boop collection. Sheila spent the majority of her years as a homemaker.
Above everything else, she loved her sons, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Richard Bailey; her three sons, Gary Lee Bailey (Mary), of Apopka, Florida, Robert Wayne Bailey, of Owensboro, and Russell Franklin Bailey, of Owensboro; her brother, Robert Eugene Edge (Barbara), of Owensboro; her three grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, David Bailey (Linda), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Darrell Stites, of Masonville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Brother Brent Howard will officiate. The entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
