FORDSVILLE, Ky. — Marion “Jean” Young, 88, of Fordsville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, in care of Southern Hospice at Chandler Memory Care in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Jean was retired from G.E. and taught GED classes for years at Fordsville.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jessie B. Young, in 2000; father and mother, Willie and Maggie Hedden; sisters, Pauline Morris, Frankie Kerr, Lucille Boyd, Bobbie Ferry, Clydia Banks, Dorothy Matthews and Gona Meriweather; and brothers, Grant, Pete, and Denton Hedden.
Jean is survived by daughter, Marjorie (Tommy) Moore and son, Eddy (Mary) Young; grandsons, Eddy and Michael Moore, and Andy and Bradley Young; great-granddaughters, Addisyn and Gerricha Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Pattiville with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville.
