OWENSBORO, Ky. — James Earl Hickerson, 84, of Owensboro, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 1:15 a.m. at his home. Mr. Hickerson was born Oct. 23, 1933, in McLean County, Kentucky.

He was retired from Alcoa as a crank operator and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of Sacramento Masonic Lodge, Madisonville Shriners, and was commander of Owensboro VFW Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Geneva Hickerson.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Joines Hickerson; son, James Eric (Michelle) Hickerson, of Hartford, Kentucky; grandchild, Graham Hickerson; and sister, Joan Emery of Sacramento, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Mike Rust officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
