OWENSBORO, Ky. — Patsy Shelton-Kincaid, 86, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her home with her daughter, Cynthia, by her side. Mrs. Kincaid was born Dec. 26, 1931, in Fordsville, Kentucky, to the late Jasper and Dolly Whitler Roberts.

She ran Gene’s Body Shop along with her son, Richard, after Gene passed away and worked as the church organist for 50 years at Seven Hills Baptist Church. In 1981 Patsy started the Widowed Persons Service Chapter in Owensboro.

She studied music at Brescia College and taught piano in her home for many years. Patsy enjoyed music and was an avid reader. Her faith was extremely important to her, and she was a non-wavering strong Christian.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Milton Shelton; her second husband, Forrest Eugene Kincaid; and a son, Richard Eugene Shelton.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Campbell, of Owensboro; grandson, Matthew Gene Campbell, of Owensboro; stepdaughters, Linda Morris (Larry), and Melody Leonard (Norman), all of Owensboro; and stepson, Darryl Kincaid (Sharon), of Owensboro.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Western Kentucky for all of their special love and care for Patsy and Cynthia.

The funeral service will be noon Monday, May 21, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Eddie Duke officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
