BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Ernest “Ernie” Triplett, 67, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at The Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio, to the late Lewis and Grace Butler Triplett.
Ernie worked as a carpenter for Donnellys in Glasgow, Kentucky, and BCI in Owensboro, Kentucky. Ernie attended Morehead University where he played football. He enjoyed sports especially basketball, football, fishing, golf, and drag racing. He was a member of Longview General Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a very outgoing person and loved family get togethers.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Baize Triplett, of Beaver Dam; two sons, Todd Triplett, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Luke Saylor, of Owensboro; a daughter, Robin Saylor, of Horse Branch, Kentucky; a brother, Tom Triplett, of Newcomerstown, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver with Bro. Terry Tarrence officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Monday at the funeral home.
