MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Maudry Lucille Abbott McCoy, 89, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at her son’s residence. She was born in Butler County, Kentucky, Oct. 5, 1928, to the late Harry Abbott and Della Wester Abbott.
She was a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church. Maudry loved being around her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William P. McCoy; sister, Esther Reneer; brothers, Lester, Bubby, Sydney, and William O. Abbott.
Maudry is survived by her son, William McCoy and wife, Debbie, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Julie Meador, of Morgantown; Jon McCoy, of Franklin, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Meagan Asberry, of Echols, Kentucky, Caleb Beasley, of Morgantown; great-great-grandson, Zane Robert Asberry, of Echols; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Don Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown.
