PLEASANT RIDGE, Ky. — Linda Carol McKinley Powell, 71, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family while under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. She was born on Sept. 22, 1946, in McLeansboro, Illinois, to the late Ruby and J.L. McKinley.
She worked at the 231 Grill for 17 years. She loved going to auctions and she owned her own consignment shop.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Powell; two sons, Christopher and Timothy Boling; and a brother, Kerry “Bo” McKinley.
Survivors include her son, Franklin “Rod” Powell, of Pleasant Ridge; three grandchildren, Skyler, Mikayla, and Shane Powell; two sisters, June Baxter, of Pleasant Ridge, and Sherry McKinley, of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Linda’s doctors, Abel, Prajapati and Nesketa, and Hospice of Ohio County for their excellent care.
Linda’s request was no visitation or service. Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
