LIVERMORE, Ky. — Fred “Pete” Wright, 78, of Livermore, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018, while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born Jan. 30, 1940, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Robert Paul Wright and Grace Ruth Johnson Coin.

Pete was retired from Alcoa Aluminum and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He loved working in his yard, helping people, and watching Westerns. Pete also was retired from the Army National Guard.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Renee Wright, on Sept. 16, 2006, and his sister, Mary Stratton, in 2017.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Joyce Evans Wright; his son, Ricky Wright and wife, Jackie, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jordan Neely, Alyson (Charles) Baxter, Casi Cummings, Erika (Jami) DeBerry, and Taylor Cummings; four great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the graveside at Rosehill Cemetery with burial following. There will be no visitation.
