OWENSBORO, Ky. — Kenneth Lee Newton, 93, of Owensboro, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
He was retired from Arco Oil Refinery, was an Army veteran and a member of Roseville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Newton; his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Newton; and a son, Kenneth Lee Newton Jr.
Survivors include his sons, Raymond D. Newton, of Hammond, Indiana, and Roy L. Newton, of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Brianna Newton McKinzie, of Minnesota, Jamie Newton Deitrick and Daniel Newton, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sabrina Newton of Houston, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Fordsville Cemetery with military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. Visitation is 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
