CENTERTOWN, Ky. — MacArther Coble, 76, of Centertown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Samuel David Coble and Rosie Mae Evans Coble.

Mr. Coble retired from Peabody Coal Company, Ken Surface Mine. He was very dedicated to his work; after retirement he owned and operated his own excavating business, Coble Custom Land Improvement. He was also a member of McHenry Baptist Church.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Raylen Coble, three brothers, and six sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Coble, of Centertown; three children, Susan (John Shannon) Womack, of Huntsville, Alabama, Robbie (Joy) Coble, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Wende (Andy) Zehnder, of Union, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Womack, Haley-Ann Coble, Hunter Womack, Jacoby Coble, Lilly Zehnder, Samuel Zehnder, Brendan Coble, and Eli Zehnder; and one great-grandson, Ryker Ray Coble-Keener.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Brent Howard and Bro. Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mr. Coble’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
