HARTFORD, Ky. — A Hartford man was arrested on several charges last night after being stopped at a traffic safety checkpoint.
According to Kentucky State Police Post 16, last night, the KSP and the Ohio County Sherriff’s Office conducted a pre-approved traffic safety checkpoint in Hartford. The KSP came into contact with Narvel W. Wood, 48, of Hartford.
Through investigation, KSP discovered Wood to be operating his motor vehicle under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia.
Wood was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wood was transported to the Ohio County Detention Center.
