HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Kimberly Bates Mattingly, 36, of Horse Branch, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 22, 1981, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Lori Phelps Parks and the late John P. Bates.

Kim attended First Apostolic Church of Millwod.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Zach Mattingly, of Horse Branch; one cherished son, Tyler Deweese (Jessica Shephard), of Horse Branch; her loving mother, Lori (Danny) Parks, of Caneyville, Kentucky; her brother, Byron Bates (Cari Simpson), of Horse Branch. She was also survived by her mother- and father-in-law, Mark and Starr Mattingly, of Leitchfield, Kentucky; four brothers-in-law, Austin Mattingly, Caleb Mattingly, Chase Mattingly, and Tyler Mattingly, all of Leitchfield; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Mattingly and Lydia (Travis) Duncan, both of Leitchfield.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Kim’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
