HARTFORD, Ky. — Joseph Christopher “Joey” Burt, 35, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born June 20, 1982, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Kevin Burt and Teresa Rhye Burt.
Joey was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church in Hartford.
Joey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eldon and Nancy Schroader, and two uncles, Timothy Rhye and Anthony Rhye.
Survivors include his wife, Tabitha Gaddis Burt, of Hartford; one son, Gavin Burt, of Hartford; three daughters, Laney Burt, Paisley Burt, and Madelynn Burt, all of Hartford; parents, Kevin and Teresa Burt, of Utica, Kentucky; one sister, Heather (Rob) Penny, of Owensboro, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Masters, of Utica; paternal grandfather, Jerry Burt; paternal stepgrandfather, Glenn House; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Living Faith Baptist Church in Hartford, Kentucky with Rev. Greg Hillard and Bro. James Wedding officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Utica. Friends may visit with Joey’s family from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Living Faith Baptist Church and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
