HARTFORD, Ky. — Betty M. Shultz, 84, of Hartford, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Signature Health Care in Hartford. She was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, to the late Byron Daniel and Mary De Marlow Muffett.
Betty was a cosmetologist most of her working life owning her own beauty shop at Dundee. She also worked at GE in Owensboro, Kentucky, was a door greeter at Beaver Dam Walmart and worked at state campgrounds.
She was a member of Narrows United Methodist Church and Dundee Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Edward Shultz, and a grandson, Robert W. Shultz.
Survivors include a daughter, Nakaiah Lynn Shultz (John) Higdon, of Hartford; three sons, William Benton Shultz, of Hartford, James David (Ami) Shultz, of Lewisburg, Kentucky, and Robert Joe Shultz, of Hartford; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Clyde Schaffer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday at the funeral home.
