HARTFORD, Ky. — Shirley Jean Clark, 81, of Hartford, passed away on Jan. 4, 2018. She was born in Hartford on Jan. 24, 1936, to the late Charles R. Campbell and Pearl I. Thienes Campbell.

She was a member of No Creek United Methodist Church. She loved to grow and arrange flowers and made floral arrangements for her church for many years. She enjoyed crafts and was extremely talented at embroidering, quilting and making clothes.

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed going camping at Land Between the Lakes, spending summers there with her children. She also loved her koi fish and goldfish. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marshall Stewart Clark, who passed away on Dec. 17, 2016, and sisters, Charlotte Catherine Brown and Judy Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Clark, of Hartford; three sons, James Robert (Rosemary) Clark, of Rhome, Texas, John Walter (Billie Faye) Clark, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Jeffrey Lynn (Carrie) Clark, of Hartford; 11 grandchildren Danielle Clark, Samantha Clark, Brandon Clark, Jodie Cannon, Jamie Clark, Sean Carroll, Nikkie Boehman, Tina Boehman, Bridgett Boehman, Justin Edrington, and Anthony Edrington; and three great-grandchildren, Elexis Cannon, Lathen Cannon, and Benjamin Dillard; two sisters, Charlene Carol Boling, and Brenda Sue Durham; and a brother, Charles “Buzz” Campbell.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Smith-Ratliff Cemetery in Livia, Kentucky.
