HARTFORD, Ky. — Mary Elizabeth Calloway Hollingsworth Blair, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Hartford, to the late James William and Golda Elizabeth Calloway.
She was of Pentecostal faith and former owner and operator of Hollingsworth Upholstery. She loved watching television and continue giving her Sunday tithes.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Eugene Calloway and Charlie Calloway, and three sisters, Ruby Phelps, Sharon Willoughby, and Mildred Dunning.
Survivors include six brothers, James Calloway, Larry Calloway, and Jamie Calloway, all of Hartford, Jerry Calloway and Ricky Calloway, both of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Steve Calloway, of Owensboro, Kentucky; two sisters, Georgetta James, of Paducah, Kentucky, and Vickie Hoheimer, of Hartford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Rev. Lee James officiating. Burial will be in Carson Cemetery near Hartford. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
