HARTFORD, Ky. — J.P. Wilson passed away on Nov. 25, 2017, at Signature Healthcare in Hartford. He was 80 years-old and was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Basil and Thelma Wilson on Dec. 9, 1936.
J.P. retired from employment with the state of Kentucky as a forestry ranger after serving for 27 years.
After his retirement, he continued to farm the family farm. He was a 50 year member of Pattiville Masonic Lodge and a member of Fordsville Masonic Lodge.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Ella Joyce Harder Wilson.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, including his nephew, Rex Alan (Shirley) Coppage, of Fordsville, Kentucky, and several cousins, including Glen (Bonnie) Wilson, of Horse Cave, Kentucky.
At J.P.’s request, visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Geary Funeral Home with graveside services at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pattiville, Kentucky.
