HARTFORD, Ky. — Wanda Faye “Grammy” Burdin, 84, Hartford, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at her home. She was born July 13, 1933, to the late Lawrence and Maggie Edwards Kuykendall.
Wanda had worked at GE and Cowdens and was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ at Renfrow, Kentucky.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, W.H. “Pappy” Burdin, and one grandson, Brandon Ralph.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne (David) McGary, of Philpot, Kentucky, and Karen Burdin, of Hartford; two sons, Barry (Patricia) Burdin, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Garry (Marcia) Burdin, of Gentryville, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Lou (Sonny) Cook, of Beaver Dam, Betty Sue (Don Eddie) Ramsey, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, Billie (Dwight) Smith, of Hartford, and Lorena “Tooter” (Carl) King, of Caneyville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Joe Van Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery near Baizetown. Friends may visit with Wanda’s family from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
