BD Farmers Market goes ‘Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness’

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — From 8 a.m.-12 p.m., tomorrow, Oct. 20, the Beaver Dam Community Farmer’s Market goes pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The day will be filled with many activities, as well as the usual vendors featuring great items such as pumpkins, mums, apples, produce, meat, fresh eggs, honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, baked goods, arts, crafts and more.

At 10 a.m., there will be a “Pink Pumpkin” Fun Run Walk. Registration is $5, which will be donated to a local cancer organization. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Registration forms will available tomorrow at the Market or can be picked up at Stitching by Vicki, Images Day Spa, Horse & Hound and Fuller’s Physical Therapy. There will be a limited number of t-shirts still available for $10 each.

SlickBack Outdoors BBQ will be at the Market serving breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Miss MacKenzie Bell (fiddle) and Miss Sarah Decker (dulcimer) will play music from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Lacy Jean, independent musician and member of the Owensboro and Bowling Green Symphony Orchestras, will be on hand with her violin/fiddle/guitar from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Don’t miss out on the famous “Aquamassage” machine courtesy of Fuller’s Physical Therapy which will be at the Market from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

There will be pink cotton candy for the kids and Ace Inflatables will be bouncing around the Market. The cotton candy won’t be the only pink item at the Market, Katlyn Hudspeth will have a pink tractor, Mike Geary will have a pink truck, JoAnn & Michael Douglas will have a pink toy airplane, Stitching by Vicki will have a pink toy John Deere tractor and Brown’s Farm will have pink pumpkins.

Angela Woosley with Green River District Heath Dept will be at the Market with information and giveaways

After all of those wonderful attractions, the Market will feature several boutiques tomorrow, as Persimmons, Charlotte’s Furniture and Fashion and Dynamic Tanning and Boutique.

If you can’t find something to do at the Beaver Dam Community Farmer’s Market this Saturday, you’re not looking.
