OHIO COUNTY, Ky. — Ohio County as well as many parts of Western Kentucky are experiencing significant flooding after heavy rains today.
Since Saturday, Ohio County has had 7.33 inches of rainfall including 4.18 inches of rain since 12 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has listed several road as being flooded with designated “high water” signs:
US 62 West at 9-10 mile marker
US 62 East at 15-16 mile marker
KY 273 at 2-3.5 mile marker
KY 1543 at 0-1 mile marker
KY 1543 at 1-2 mile marker
KY 1543 at 2-3 mile marker
KY 2718 at 3-5 mile marker
As a reminder, as little as one foot of running water can push a vehicle off a roadway.
