BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Beaver Dam Community Farmers Market will host “HoneyBee Day at the Market” from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 12.
What does “HoneyBee Day at the Market” mean? It means the Ohio County Beekeepers will be in charge of the market’s activities. The OC Beekeepers will have an observation bee hive at the market, and much more.
The musical guests at the market will be Wildman Hardesty and Randy Lanham. The twosome will be playing a blend of Americana Countryfried DiscoBilly music from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
SlickBack Outdoors BBQ will serve breakfast sandwiches from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and lunch sandwiches from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Author Eddie Price will be on hand, as he shares a program about his latest children’s book, “Miss Grubby Toes Steps on a Bee.” He will have books available for sale and sign.
Other artists who plan on visiting the farmers market this Saturday are balloon artist Charles L. Hudson, spinner Joyce Noller and body painter Jasmine Allen.
The farmers market will also have representatives from the Ohio County Extension Office, the Ohio county Artist Guild, the Ohio County High School art club, ADG Leather Creations and among others.
As usual, the market’s vendors will be on hand with goods such as produce, beef, pork, eggs, maple syrup, honey, goat milk soap, baked goods, jellies, jams, arts and crafts and more!
