***UPDATE*** (8/9/17 – 6:15 p.m.) HENDERSON, Ky. — According to Kentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson, Arnold “Ray Ray” McKenney has been located and arrested by the KSP and United States Marshals. More details to follow at ocmonitor.com.


***UPDATE*** (8/1/17 – 10:40 a.m.) HARTFORD, Ky. — Law enforcement are still searching for Arnold “Ray Ray” McKenney. McKenney escaped from the Ohio County Detention Center Sunday night.

More information has been released on how McKenney was able to escape from the detention center.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 16, McKenney was authorized to be in the detention center’s kitchen and assigned wash dishes. Around 8 p.m. Sunday night, McKenney was able to escape through a locked door. Investigators believe the magnetic locking mechanism was faulty by allowing the door to open if enough pressure was applied.

McKenney was in jail facing rape and sodomy charges. He is considered dangerous.

Arnold McKenney

HARTFORD, Ky. — Kentucky State Police Post 16 is reporting an inmate escaped from the Ohio County Detention Center last night.

According to KSP Post 16 Public Affairs Officer Corey King, Arnold McKenney escaped from the Ohio County Detention Center last night.

McKenney was in jail on rape and first degree sodomy charges. In addition to those charges, a warrant for second degree escape has been issued for his arrest. McKenney is considered to be dangerous.

McKenney, 48, is 5’4″ tall, weighs 150 lbs. with has blue eyes and sandy blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey jogging pants.

If you see McKenney or know of his whereabouts, call 911 immediately. Again, McKenney is considered dangerous, do not approach him. Call 911 immediately.
