UTICA, Ky. — Rev. Bryan Shepherd, 48, of Utica, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at his residence. He was born March 7, 1969, in Asheville, North Carolina, to the late Clyde Boyd and Geraldine York Shepherd.
He was a member of Longview Baptist Church near Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and a truck driver for Perdue Farms in Cromwell.
Bryan was a University of Kentucky and Atlanta Braves fan. Bryan was a big bass fisherman and participated in many tournaments with his brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, April Dockery Shepherd, of Utica; four children, Charlie (Angela) Shepherd, of Hartford, Kentucky, Cassandra Carter, of Utica, Jeremiah “Jerry” (Bliss Wilson) Shepherd, of McHenry, Kentucky, and Shelton Shepherd, of Utica; four siblings, Deborah (Jeffrey) Calloway, of Hartford, Kentucky, Pam Calloway, of Beaver Dam, Kenny (Cindy) Shepherd, of Centertown, Kentucky, and Tia Renee Shepherd, of Greensville, Tennessee; and father- and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Jennifer Dockery ,of Morgantown. Bryan was blessed with six grandchildren, Adalyn Shepherd, Chayson Shepherd, Davonah Carter, Phoenix Carter, Ivory Gail Shepherd, and Ace Sloane Shepherd. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Longview General Baptist Church near Beaver Dam with Rev. Kenny Shepherd and Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Zion Harmony Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky. Family and Friends may gather to visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Longview General Baptist Church.
