BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Leslie Thomas Embry Sr., 74, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 4, 1943 in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Clemon Embry and Lillie Brooks Embry Cannon.

Mr. Embry was a mechanic and member of the Disabled American Veterans. He served in the United States Army.

Mr. Embry was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 47 years, Wilma Lee Swift; one granddaughter, Sara Beth Hatton; five brothers, Richard Embry, Roy Lee Embry, Larry Dale Embry, Freddie Wayne Embry, and Eugene Embry; and one sister, Linda Ann Embry.

Survivors include two sons, T.J. Embry, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dennis (Pilar) Clothier, of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland; one daughter, Loretta Milby, or Hartford; two grandchildren, Kristina Goff and Hayley Embry; four great-grandchildren, Garrett Fried, Leo Hatton, Aubrey Hatton and Jaxon Hatton; one brother, Lawrence “Tubby” (Linda) Embry, of Centertown, Kentucky; two sisters, Joyce (Jimmy) Rickard, of Sacramento, Kentucky, and Rose (Kenny) Hisle, of Perryville, Kentucky; companion, Linda Ashby, of Beaver Dam; and her children, Kaela Hilliard and Michael Hixon, both of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Johnny Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with Mr. Embry’s family Saturday 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
