DRAKESBORO, Ky. — Margie Jean Lindsey, 85, of Drakesboro, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Kindred Maple Manor of Greenville. She was born Nov. 24, 1932, in McHenry, Ky., to the late Willis Embry and Lena Baize Embry.

Mrs. Lindsey was a homemaker and member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Central City, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Elsie Dean Embry; and one brother, Carmen Embry.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Charles Lindsey, of Drakesboro; two sons, Charles Wayne (Gwen) Lindsey, of Boonville, Ind., and Rev. Gregory Alan (Lori) Lindsey, of Henderson, Ky.; two daughters, Debra Jean (Dr. E.C.) McKinley, of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Sherry Lynn Reynolds, of Evansville, Ind., eight grandchildren, Shanda, Jonathon, Shaun, Lindsey, Ryan, Brad, Seth, and Jayden; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Mageline Gibbs, of Leitchfield, Ky., Helen Hooks, of Beaver Dam, Ky., and Patricia Fredell, of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Charles Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch, Ky. Friends may visit with Mrs. Lindsey’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
