MOSELEYVILLE, Ky. — Sherman E. Knight, 69, of Moseleyville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Sherman Eugene Knight was born April 27, 1948, in Owensboro, Ky., to Ernest Stewart and Bernice Lee Waltrip Knight and was married to the former Peggy Sue Smith Oct. 3, 1970.

Sherman was the owner and operator of Knight Body Shop and earlier was a truck driver for Green Coal Company. He enjoyed gardening, caring for his cats, and fishing.

Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Knight, and by a half-brother, Dale Knight.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Knight; a daughter and her husband, Shannon and Bob Scott, of Bidwell, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cameron Scott and wife, Ashlee, of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and Madison Scott, of Bidwell; his mother and stepfather, Bernice and Kenneth Belcher, of Pleasant Ridge.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Brother Bob Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Sherman’s family from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
