CALHOUN, Ky. — Alton Wilson III, 60, of Calhoun, died June 16, 2017, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1956, in Owensboro to the late Lena Emeline and Alton Wilson II.
He was a member of Northwood Baptist Church in Alabama and enjoyed NASCAR racing and Duke University basketball.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Marie Wilson, on July 18, 2005.
Survivors include eight children, Melissa Wilson, Alton Wilson, Katie Wilson, Emily Hatfield, Katrina Johnson, David Rouse, Jennifer Gray and Thomas Rouse; 15 grandchildren; six siblings, Darlene Freels (Chester), Johnny Wilson, Charles Severs, Kenneth Severs, Jackie Hudspeth, and Lovie Cotton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Fordsville Cemetery in Fordsville, Kentucky. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
