HARTFORD, Ky. — Harold “Crockett” Crockett, 71, of Hartford, went home to his Savior on, Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his residence.

Harold loved serving God and telling others about the peace God gives. He was a member of Horse Branch Church of God and served as Sunday school teacher for 5 to 7 year-old children at New Assembly Church.

Harold had worked as a coal miner, truck driver, and many years doing lawn care. He enjoyed his dogs, hunting, riding motorcycles, and was known to jump out of airplanes. Harold was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Crockett, Clarence Crockett, and Odell Crockett.

Harold is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Crockett, of Hartford; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Rick Millay, of Owensboro, Ky., Sandra and Benny Humphrey, of Clarksville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Simonne Crockett, of Clarksville; sisters, Clara Gray, of Ohio, Imogene Voyles, of Florida, and Phyllis Howard, of Morgantown, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at New Assembly Church in Hartford, with Rev. Earnest Whitely and Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with the family of Harold Crockett from 2 p.m. until 7p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service all at New Assembly Church, Highway 1543 Hartford, KY.
