UTICA, Ky. — Mary A. Davis, 97, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 3, 1919, in Warren County, Ind., to the late Russell and Maud Branch Smith.

Mary was a homemaker, but was a cook and waitress for many years in various restaurants. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing bingo and working crossword puzzles.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth David.

Surviving are her children, Charles Ivan “Chuck” Mabrey and wife, Joyce, of Thruston, Ky., and Rosalie Troutman, of Utica; five grandchildren, Charles Ray “Chuckie” Mabrey and wife, Ursula, of Philpot, Ky., Charity Lynn DeHart and husband, Tommy, of Owensboro, Ky., Alpha Gene Troutman, of Louisville, Ky., Debbie Troutman and Patricia Sutherland and husband, Ricky, of Utica; 12 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
