BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Ronald Keith Jameson, 76, passed away June 4, 2017, at Western Kentucky Veteran’s Center after a lengthy illness. He was born July 4, 1940 to the late Elvin Jameson and Ruth Cotton Jameson Moore in Muhlenburg County, Ky.

He served in the Air Force and retired from International Harvester. He was of the Baptist faith.

Ron loved his family and friends. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and veteran programs. He was past Grand Chef de Gare du Kentucky 40 & 8 Voiture 807.

He was a member of DAV Chapter 11; VFW Post 696; American Legion Post 9; Amvets Post 119; Military Order of the Cootie and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Jameson, of Beaver Dam; three sons, Mike (Janet) Jameson, Mark Jameson, and Greg (Ronda) Jameson, all of Indiana; one stepson, Gary (Helen) Campbell, of Florida; two stepdaughters, Barbara Jaganmatri, of Michigan, and Sheryl (Robert) Turner, of Maryland; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Forrest (Peggy) Jameson, of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Jesse Tichenor officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with military honors by Owensboro VFW Post 696.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
