James ‘Jim’ Felix Ford

HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — James “Jim” Felix Ford, 81, of Horse Branch, passed away May 30, 2017, at his residence. He was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Horse Branch to the late Basil Ford and Ruby Sanders Ford.

Mr. Ford was retired from Texaco as a truck driver and Ohio County Board of Education as a bus driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rose Chittick Ford, on July 24, 2000.

Survivors include three sons, James Michael (Emma) Ford, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Steven Alan (Sherry) Ford, of Horse Branch, and David Lee (Sharon) Ford, of Owensboro, Ky.; three grandchildren, Sean Ford, Stephanie Ford, Sonya Ford and fiancé Jarrod; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara (James) Daniel of Horse Branch; two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Ford’s family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
