POWDERLY, Ky. — Norma Oleta Jarvis, 92, of Powderly, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 1:30 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Jarvis was born May 27, 1924, in Ohio County, Ky.
She was a homemaker and member of Mercer Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jarvis; brothers, Roy (Christine) Graves, and J.C. Graves; and sister, Helen Vance.
She is survived by her nieces, Vicki (David) Morrison, of Greenville, Ky., and Rita (W.L.) Decker, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; sister-in-law, Judy Graves, of Greenville; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 19, at 2 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating, assisted by Rev. Curtis McGehee. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Long Term Care at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for the loving, compassionate care shown to our aunt during her stay there.
