OWENSBORO, Ky. — Amy Jo Babb, 39, of Owensboro, died unexpectedly Friday, April 28, 2017, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, where she had lived for several years. Mrs. Babb was born Sept. 27, 1977, in Owensboro to the late Charles D. Babb and Tracy Higgs Daughtery.

Amy was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother who loved her family and was passionate about making the world a better place. She was an intelligent, spirited, charismatic person who was always reading and learning and growing spiritually. Amy was usually the “life of the party”. She graduated with an English degree from the University of Southern Indiana.

Mrs. Babb was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dean Babb.

Those left to cherish her memory include husband, John Lutz, of Evansville, Ind.; children, Lillian Marie Martin, Sophia Isabelle Lutz, and Jude Nathaniel Lutz; mother, Tracy Daugherty and her husband, Kenny, of Hartford, Ky.; sisters, Alisa Christian (David), of Hartford, and Mary “Elizabeth” Kyle, of Colorado; brother, Josh Christian (Marilynn), also of Hartford; in-laws, Gary and Joan Lutz, of Evansville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be at noon on Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Chris Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
