HERMITAGE, Tenn. — Myrl Ann Saltsman Ralph, 76, formerly of Whitesville, died on April 23, 2017, in Hermitage, Tenn. She was born on Sept. 13, 1940, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Blymer and Virginia Harrison Saltsman.

She graduated from Fordsville High School where she was the valedictorian of her class. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown College on March 8, 1962, and was the salutatorian of her class.

Myrl worked at Grayson County Hospital in Leitchfield, Ky., as a laboratory technologist. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Leonard Donald Ralph, who died in December 2016, and a brother, George Saltsman, in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Mark Ralph, of Somerville, Ala.; a daughter, Myra Williams and her husband, Roger, of Hermitage; three grandchildren, Jake Ralph, Wade Ralph and Bailey Knerr; one stepgranddaughter, Claire Bass; and a brother, Carl Saltzman.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Zion Baptist Church, 87 Zion Church Road, Reynolds Station, Ky. Burial will follow in Cates Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
