OWENSBORO, Ky. — Betty R. Hagan, 79 of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, at her residence. She was born Feb. 13, 1938, in Cromwell, Ky., to the late John Rowe and Asberrie Hampton Deweese.

Betty was a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church and she enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, sewing, crocheting and her dogs.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Lane Dame; one brother, Lindol Wade Deweese; and four sisters, Treva Hanninger, Maxine Givens, Virginia Bratcher and Berniece Deweese.

Betty R. Hagan is survived by two sons, Gregory Dame (Sandra), of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Danny Dame (Jon Anne), of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Micah Jones (Kristian), of Lexington, Ky., Laura and Pierce Dame, of Corpus Christi; two nieces, Carole Lane Arnold and Debra Sims; five nephews, Timmy Deweese, Mark Deweese, Mike Givens, Harold Givens and Dickie Henninger.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 7, at 12 p.m. with Bro. Allen Shouse officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April, 6, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
