OWENSBORO, Ky. — Lena Mae Burton, 77, of Owensboro, died on March 28, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born June 17, 1939, in McHenry, Ky., to the late Othie Lee and Mae Baize.

She had been employed by McAtee’s Department Store, the Cigar Factory and Pinkerton Tobacco and was the owner of the Classic Shop Clothing Store in Audubon Plaza. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory Wayne Baize and Rondell Lee Baize, and her stepmother, Lettie Douglas Baize.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Burton; sons, David Charles McIntyre, of Owensboro, and Danny Lee McIntyre, of Utica, Ky.; a granddaughter, Erika McIntyre; three brothers, Randell Lee Baize, of Hartford, Ky., James Othie Baize (Sandy), of Owensboro, Dickie Glen Baize (Debbie), of Rome, Ind.; four sisters, Wanda Marie Duke (Fred), of Hanceville, Ala., Diane Troutman (William B.) and Margaret Ann Bailey (Larry), both of Hartford, Ky., and Marilyn Sue “Moody” Arnold (Bobby), of Centertown, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 1 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10 a.m until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
