Billy Donald Rice, 77, of Calhoun, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Riverside Manor. He was born Aug. 13, 1938, son of the late Wilbur and Gladys Rice.
He was a retired truck driver and a Navy veteran. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved hunting, fishing, family barbecues and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was also proceeded in death by his son, Billy Don Rice, Jr.; and three brothers, Bobby, Arthur and Jesse Rice.
Billy is survived by his wife, Carol Rice; three sons, David (Ashley) Browning, Shawn (Ashley) Rice and Shannon (Heather) Rice; three daughters, Ladonna (Steve) Seitz, Sherry (Benji) Medders and Tina Medders; three brothers, Raymond (Barbara) Rice, Jimmy (Debbie) Rice and Roger (Rita) Rice; two sisters, Rosie (Jack) Starks and Bonnie (Jim) Reynolds; a sister-in-law, Teresa Rice; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are noon Friday, Nov. 6, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
