Jonell (Murphy) Wilson, 92, of Irvington, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1923, in Ohio County, the daughter of the late Charlie and Flora (Daniel) Murphy.
Jonell enjoyed get-togethers and visiting with family and friends as well as cooking and cleaning.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Eules Wilson; one daughter, Jeanie Jones (Terry), of Elizabethtown; three sons, Donald Wilson (Deloris), Terry Wilson (Linda) and Lynn Wilson (Amy), all of Irvington; eight grandchildren, Rhonda Clemons (Steve), Aaron Jones (Julie), Scott Wilson, Melanie Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Eric Wilson (LeeAnn), Brent Wilson (Angela) and Travis Wilson (Tara); 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 28th at 11:00 am CST at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Bill Cook will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Dog Walk.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 3 p.m. (CST) and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
