Mrs. Edith Parks, age 56, of Owensboro, passed away July 15, 2015, after a very short battle with cancer. Edith was born on Feb. 18, 1959, in Hartford, Ky., to Johnny Voyles and Kay Carson.
Edith is a former employee of Western Kentucky Gas (Atmos), and Walmart. She groomed dogs and loved all animals, crafts, and cross stitch.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Jeff Parks; father, Johnny Voyles; stepmom, Gene Voyles, of Ohio County; and mother, Kay Carson, of the Carmel Home in Owensboro.
There will be no visitation or services per family request. Arrangements are entrusted to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice of Western Kentucky.
