Velma M. Allen, 79, of Beaver Dam, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2015. She was born Oct. 14, 1935, to the late Lawrence Milam and Alta Geary Milam.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Leisure and Sylvia Leisure; and one brother, Donnie Milam.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James E. Allen, of Beaver Dam; three sons, Carroll Allen, of Beaver Dam, Doug (Renae) Allen, of Beaver Dam, and Richard Allen, of Beaver Dam; one brother, Connie Milam, of Baizetown; two sisters, Kathy Akin, of Morgantown, and Pat Scott, of Rockport; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah Allen, Ashley (Jared) Decker, Jacob Allen, Cody Allen, Colton (Jessica) Allen, Preston Allen, Jesse Allen and J.C. Allen; and nine great-grandchildren, Kalea Brown, Brock Decker, Chantz Allen, Jace Allen, Jacoby Allen, Blake Allen, Alexis Decker, Peyton Allen and Camryn Allen.
Private Services will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
