John Denton Norris, Jr., 60, of Fordsville, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Evansville, Ind., was self-employed and attended Church of God of Prophecy in Fordsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Denton, Sr., and Sarah Grace Norris.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Norris, of Fordsville; his children, Johnathan Norris, of Evansville, and Michelle Norris, of Owensboro; brothers, Paul Norris, of Fordsville, and Robert Norris, of Owensboro; sisters, Cathy Sanders, of Fordsville, Ivy Ratliff, of Owensboro, and Anna Sanders, of Philpot; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Church of God of Prophecy in Fordsville with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to John Denton Norris, Jr. Memorial Fund c/o Geary Funeral Home.
