Virginia Smith, 97, of Cromwell, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born June 28, 1917, in Clay County, Ky., to the late Jim and Mandy Smith.
Virginia was a member of Green River Baptist Church and worked as a nurse’s aide at Beaver Dam Healthcare.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Smith, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Dewayne (Sue) Smith, of Cromwell, David Smith, of Beaver Dam, and Donald (Barb) Smith, of Valparaiso, Ind.; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Susan, Dewayne Jr., Shannon, Timothy and Chasity and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial will be in Green River Cemetery in Cromwell. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
