BarbaraLouGrayGetridgeBarbara Lou Gray Getridge, 70, of Centertown, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born on April 18, 1944, in Hartford, Ky., to the late James Walter Gray and Vera Mae Lawrence Gray.

Mrs. Getridge was a retired tax preparer, enrolled IRS agent, held a treasury card and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Beaver Dam. She actively participated in Celebrate Recovery, and as a volunteer for free tax service at the Ohio County Community Center.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Arnold Getridge, of Centertown; two sons, Jon Laws (Dawn), of Cedar Lake, Ind., Michael Wayne Laws, of Gary, Ind.; one daughter, Michille Hicks, of Olaton, Ky.; five grandchildren, Gregory Alexander Monestere, Paul James Monestere, Meghan Elaine Laws, Amanda Marie Laws and Jaxson Lucus Laws; one brother, James “Jimmy” Gray (Carolyn), of Hartford; a sister at heart, Sandra Simms, of Hobart, Ind.; one uncle, Clyde Lawrence of Nipomo, California; two aunts, Jewell Murphy of Radcliff, Ky., and Meryl Lawrence, of Livermore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Pastor Christopher Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
