Bobby J. Brooks, age 59, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, in Morgantown Ky. Bobby was born on April 28, 1955, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Johnny W. “Buster” and Augusta Maine Adkins Brooks.
He attended Cool Springs General Baptist Church, was a United States Army Veteran, a truck driver for many years, and loved fishing and watching the Kentucky Wildcats.
Other than his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Brooks; and two brothers, Albert and David Brooks.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Reita Carathers Brooks, of Morgantown, Ky.; two daughters, Kimberly Renfrow and husband, Greg, of Morgantown, Ky., and Brandi Condit and husband, Anthony, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; two grandsons, Eric Renfrow and wife, Amy, of Morgantown, Ky., and Matthew Renfrow, of Morgantown, Ky.; one sister, Lisa Schroadar and husband, Jerry, of Beaver Dam, Ky., four brothers, Warren Brooks and wife, Sue, of Beaver Dam, Ky., Ralph Brooks and wife, Judy, of Morgantown, Ky., Johnny W. Brooks and wife, Vicky, of Morgantown, Ky., and Dale Brooks and wife, Alice, of Morgantown, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at The Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Brooks and Bro. Warren Brooks officiating with burial in the Lumbustown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Jones Funeral Chapel and on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m. at The Jones Funeral Chapel.
